Just one week for DrupalCon 2015 in Barcelona. Cause we are good hosts, the Spanish Drupal Association (AED) and drupal.cat are organising several activities for before, during and after the conference.

We want all the attendees that come from different countries to feel like at home here and also they have a chance to meet our local community. If you can’t make DrupalCon but you want to learn more about Drupal or meet the community, there are also activities for you. We have organised social events and free learning sessions open to everyone.

Drupal & Beers

Thursday, 17th of September, 19:30 - 21:00 at Cerveseria bELchiCA

If you arrive to Barcelona a few days before the conference starts, you can join the local Drupal user group meetup. It is a good opportunity to meet the “usual suspects” of the Spanish community. We will also have a chance to mingle, welcome the newcomers and organise the rest of the activities that will take place during the week. If you have time and the jetlag don’t beat you it would be great to count with your help.

Tour de Drupal

Sunday, 20th of September, all day long along the coast.

Some of the attendees are coming to DrupalCon by bike and they invite us to do the last stage with them from Blanes (9:00AM) until a Chiringuito in Barcelona (7:00pm). No excuses to not to pedal: you can join them at any moment and you can even rent a bike! All the information in the blog of the DrupalCon and following @tourdedrupal.

AED Stand

Spanish Drupal Association booth (21st - 24th of September on the DrupalCon area)

The local associations will have a booth in the conference area, offered thanks to the Drupal Association to help us grow as a community. You will have there all the information about our events (DrupalCamp, DrupalDay, Business Day...), our community and our associations. We will be there since Monday afternoon until Thursday afternoon.

Welcome Night

Tuesday, 22th of September at 20:00 in the 3nusos restaurant.

The oficial welcome party of the DrupalCon will be organized by the locals with the help of several collaborator companies. And we wll have a good one! We will invite you to some traditional tapas (the drinks are on you) with the best views and the best company in the 3nusos restaurant, a place as unique as authentic in the Barceloneta's port.

The last day of DrupalCon is the mentored sprints day, it's the moment to work together at Drupal and get in touch with the community. All levels and profiles are welcome and a lot of us will be there to help you start.

It's usually said: "Drupal: come for the code, stay for the community", in this week you can see it by yourself. Take advantage of this activities to know us and have a great time with us.
